FW18, Nicholas Projects, 2017
The advent of ‘screen-based’ daily realities has shaped the way that contemporary audiences engage and access content, and ultimately this heightened accessibility has affected the way in which art is critiqued, as well as produced. “FW18” explores the idea of space in reference to the physical and ‘the screen’, or online spaces.
Serving as a milestone in a year-long Instagram based project – where exhibitions were digitally created using existing gallery photos and posted online as faux documentation of actual exhibitions – this exhibition addresses credentialism, “post-truth” political ideologies, and problematises relationships that exist between multiple unilateral environments.
