ABOUT

Director of Nicholas Projects

Hey, I’m lucky enough to currently be working between Melbourne and Sydney, Australia.

I received my MFA from the National Art School in 2024.
My exegesis was called A Portal to Hell: Examining Masculinity Gender identity via videogames, myths, and fantasy.
I think there has been a catastrophic failure to speak to men in a healthy and constructive way in recent times, and this displacement of masculinity has led to feelings of rejection, loneliness and suicidality. It has also led to a rise in conservative values and men who connect with them.
I aim to explore this in my practice by using escapism and fantasy references. Most of my works take reference from the videogame Majora’s Mask, in which the antagonist is on a journey of self-discovery in a world on the brink of destruction.

I have participated in the AAANZ 2022 Conference | DEMONSTRATIONS and have exhibited in Spring 1883 (2019), LA Trobe University Gallery, ALASKA Projects, Cement Fondu and Void_Melbourne.
